Beginner Workshops

  • This workshop will focus on some of Niff’s favorite pathways, shapes, and explorations on dance trapeze. You will be surprised and amazed at where the magic of wraps and hand grips can take you!

    Beginner to Advanced versions available.

    Prereqs Beginner: knows how to mount the bar, get to standing with ease, and invert into a tuck in the ropes.

  • Are you struggling with a certain Trapeze skill? This workshop will focus on some key fundamental tips that can help you with most skills. We will look at your front balance roll ups, back balanances, knee circles, inversions, and more! Come with your questions and we will break it down for your individual body and talk about what makes a skill work, as well as how to find modifications if something doesn’t seem to work for you.

    Any level is welcome.

    Can be broken up in levels or experience. Students should come ready with questions or can submit them ahead of time!

  • This workshop will focus on the bar staying low to the ground and making the most of the floor and the ropes! Niff will take you on a journey weaving in and out of unique pathways and dynamic shapes that you have never thought possible.

    Beginner to Advanced versions available.

  • This Dance Trapeze workshop will focus on the theory behind the X! We will go over basic X theory for seatbelt/belly basket X and the Madame X/Hourglass X. We will learn how they differ, how to travel between them, how to know which one you are in, and how to get out. We’ll explore fun choreo in and out of both possibilities.

    Beginner to Advanced versions available.

  • This workshop will break down the technique behind beautiful spins on trapeze, from foundational elements to help you keep and develop good basic spins, to lasso spins and mounts, elbow spins, low bar (hips, armpits), and more!

    We’ll explore unique and surprising pathways that can help you understand the theory of sling work and find your own unique shapes and style.

  • What makes up a cross back and how can we use that theory to better understand how to get in one, and then open up all the possibilities for where to take it? Develop your understanding of the theory of cross back straddle through fun sequences and find all your own possibilities!

Workshop Specifications

  • Trapezes must be cotton rope or cord rope for any workshop with rope play. NO NYLON ROPES!

  • Swivels must be attached to each trapeze rope for ease of rolling and health of trapeze.

  • Students can bring their own trapezes and adapt, but no demoing will be done on trapeze that are not cotton or corde. I prefer to bring and work on my own bar that I do not share. I can bring a few trapezes for an additional charge/baggage fee. No charge for local or drivable locations.

  • Workshop length 60-90 minutes. I am flexible with your schedule.

  • Max number of students: Depending on points available- prefer 2 students to a point. Minimum number is 4 to run, Max is 14 (if 8 points are available.)

  • Pricing: I prefer a 70/30 split with studio.
